On-Line Reading

Here is a list of authors that I regularly read on line. The are alphabetical by first name, since I would have trouble sorting them by how much I like their writing;)

Barry.

Barry is a prolific writer. He never fails to flesh out the details of his characters which makes all of his stories an enjoyable read.

Belle Renard.

Belle is a very promising new author. As far as I know she has not published very many stories yet, but I liked the detail and characterization of her writing.

Kanesha Andrews.

Kanesha has the rare courage to bare her heart and soul in her writing. She delves into the problems that she has and the faith that gets her through it. I was also very impressed with her series on the Angyprx and Pyrae, who are mythical winged beings whose goal is to help humanity.

Kevin Hughes.

Kevin, by his own admission, writes stories in one sitting with no editing. This is an ability that I am jealous of when I agonize over whether one of my stories is done and ready for publishing. Kevin has written so many stories that I have not yet had time to read them all, but all that I have read are good.

Meena.

Meena writes stories that tug at my heartstrings. She has a magic way of explaining how her characters feel and experience their stories that is a gift.

Print Authors

So this list will certainly date me, as I almost never read a print book anymore. It is not for a lack of desire, merely a lack of time that I am willing to devote to it. So many hobbies and family needs these days!

Anita Shreve.

I love the day to day romantic story lines that she creates. No violence, just drama. She makes we want to visit the locals that she writes about.

Anne McCaffrey.

To me, Anne will always be the gold standard for books about telepathic links to other beings. Her series about dragons was devoured.

George R. R. Martin.

I was easily sucked into the Game of Thrones world. The extensive characterization was a magnet for my imagination.

J.R.R. Tolkien.

I don't think that I have to explain this.

Jacqueline E. Smith.

Jacqueline is the author that caused me to start reading printed books and short stories again. I will forever be grateful for the time I ran across her quite by accident when she was selling her books at a Celtic Faire and now here I am.

Maeve Binchy.

To tell the truth, I have never actually read one of her books, but I have listened to the audio version of every one that I can find. I love the day to day romantic story lines that she creates. No violence, just drama. I also am a fan of the Irish voices in which the audiobooks are narrated.
